Can food help bring people together, to help create community? One that is more cohesive , safe , and stronger? — And fun? — And tasty? Can local food build our local economy and help us prepare for the many challenges of Global Climate Change?
Come to the next Sustainable Tucson meeting and share good food and your ideas about building community, while you enjoy a good meal with current and future friends from around Tucson.
We’re partnering with our friends at Iskashitaa Refugee Network for this potluck, so there’ll be opportunities to hear about fascinating food traditions brought by some of our refugee neighbors, as well as to learn about exciting locally available foods (some familiar, some perhaps less familiar).
Bring a dish you can share. If possible, please try to feature one or more local ingredients. You can find a wide variety of delicious, seasonal local foods we grow right here in Southern Arizona at local Farmers Markets And of course, favorite family traditions are welcome.
So regardless of your food tradition, come for the good food and community. At the
